I had a busy afternoon helping other (much more experienced) members of Windermere Art Society set up ready for the annual exhibition, which officially starts on Monday.
This is the display of mini canvases painted (mostly in acrylics) by various society members – and me! Mine is the one roughly in the middle, with green trees seen through a dark rocky tunnel. I thought the display was gorgeous and the rich colours reminded me of jewels.
Sadly, there’s a named storm (Floris) heading for Windermere on… you guessed it… Monday! But hey – if you’re here on holiday and don’t want to get wet, why not pop into the Ladyholme Centre on Lake Road and spend a happy (free, dry) hour browsing all the artworks?
