Last time at Windermere Art Society we had a demo and workshop on dry point etching, using takeaway container foil lids as templates to scratch our designs into. I couldn’t manage the inking as I couldn’t get gloves on over my recently sprained thumb, but the tutor kindly did that bit for me and I was delighted with the way my tree turned out. We used sepia ink for this print which I think suits it very well. Looking forward to trying more designs, on some panels from an old tetrapak milk container I’ve cut up!
