Herdies say “hey”
Or should that be “hay”? Anyway, here’s the watercolour version of my hungry sheep! I may still add some detail to the foreground but it’s very much a pen-and-wash so I don’t want to go in too heavy with the paint. What do you think?

More sheep…
This is my second ever attempt at drawing sheep (a couple of Herdwicks photographed in Keswick) by hand. It’s not perfect (I swear they moved when I wasn’t looking, lol) but they have a certain charm… I’m hoping to do a pen-and-wash style thing by adding watercolour soon so watch this space.

Spot the sheep!! This is a slightly crap photo of my latest pen-and-ink-and-watercolour, because the paper buckled and created an odd corrugated effect. It’s of a scene in Coppermines Valley, Coniston that I photographed in dramatic conditions earlier this year. I used blue pastel paper because I happened to have a small piece left over…
