I’m starting a new charcoal drawing of the main entrance of Sizergh Castle, from a photo taken during our visit the other week. I’ve already done two other drawings of it (one of which will be appearing in the Windermere Art Society exhibition in a couple of weeks’ time) but it’s such a picturesque old building that I’m drawn back to it again and again.
The work always looks really scruffy at this stage, but morphs magically into something rather better as I get the shading in… honest… 😉
