We’ve had a hectic weekend, but I was determined to visit Green Door Artists’ huge new art fair in the exhibition hall at Junction 36 of the M6. And yesterday we managed it! We only had time to dash in, say hi to a few people, buzz round the vast number of stalls selling amazing art of all kinds, and dash back out again, but it was absolutely worth it.
Not only was it bigger – and busier – than I expected, but everyone was so welcoming, and the art was truly inspirational.
I didn’t take part this year – I’m so new to this art thing that my portfolio consists of about 10 pictures, which would hardly have filled up one wall of a stall! But I’m really hoping that by next year, if I work hard, I could at least share a stall with someone.
In the meantime, well done to everyone who helped make this first ever event such a success!
